Remove the filter from the box. Rinse the active carbon pad(s) and sponge(s) with water from your tank and insert into your filter. Important - do not use mains water or any cleaning products to clean your media. Assemble the HO filter as per the parts diagram. When attaching the filter to your fish tank rim, adjust the balance plate so that your filter is level in your aquarium, sitting in a vertical position.
