 Converting MIDI Files
MIDI file conversion utilities
As of the date of this document, no free utility has been found for MAC users to convert MIDI files. For the
PC, users can go to
http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/progs/software.htm
for a MIDI File Converter. Download
and install the "MIDI file dll" first, and then install the "MIDI File Converter" (see figure 33).

Make sure the button on the right reads format 0, if it does not, push it until it does. Push the Convert
button and point to a non-Type 0 MIDI file. The next file window gives you the opportunity to name your
Type 0 file. You can then use the Fender Song Loader to load the Type 0 song into the amplifier.
Fender® MIDI File Converter (MAC Version)
This program should run on any Macintosh running MAC OS X 10.2 or later, although Fender cannot
guarantee that this software will work with all hardware configurations.
Start the MIDI File Converter application. To convert a MIDI file, click the "Input File" button. A dialog
will pop up in which you can navigate to your non-Type 0 MIDI file. When you click ok in the load dialog,
a screen similar to figure 34 will appear. The utility automatically suggests a name for your new Type 0
MIDI file. You can modify the box, or click "Output File" to navigate and suggest a new name. Ensure the
extension remains .mid. When you are satisfied with the input and output file names, click "Convert". You
are now ready to load the Type 0 song into the Fender Song Loader.
