    OPERATION WARNING Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer of this product. The use of attachments or accessories not recommended can result in serious personal injury. WARNING Do not switch on the tool until it has been completely assembled. Before switching on the tool, always check the power cord for signs of damage.

  • Page 18 OPERATION CHANGING THE CYLINDER The tool has two easily exchangeable work cylinders: an aerator cylinder made of hard plastic with vertically rotating spring tines, and a scarifier cylinder with vertically mounted high-grade steel knives. WARNING Switch off the tool, disconnect the mains plug and wait until the cylinder is standing still. WARNING Always wear gloves when handling the cylinder.
  • Page 19 OPERATION ■ Cut the grass to a height of about 40mm before scarifying. The lawn must be dry when using the tool. The best time for scarifying is any time during the vegetative season, from end of April through to September. Scarify it at least once a year. We recommend using a fertilizer straight after airing if you want a healthy lawn.

    MAINTENANCE WARNING When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. WARNING Always wear gloves when handling the cylinder. WARNING Prior to all maintenance and cleaning work always switch off the tool, disconnect the plug from the power socket and wait until the cylinder is standing still.
