The Scanner Setting dialog box appears:

Set the mode and resolution, following the
instructions on pages 2-6 to 2-7.

Choose Custom Size and enter the width and height
of the image. For large images, enter the maximum
width (4.1 inches) and height (10 inches).

Click Manually Control.

Click OK.

Click P (portrait) or L (landscape), depending on the
orientation of the image.

Capturing the Image by Hand Scanning
After you set up your software, follow these steps to
scan the image:

Remove the cable from the cable clip on the scanner
base. Then remove the scanning head from the base
by pushing it up as shown below:
