Quick Start Guide
To Configure your computer.

Right-click on Network Neighborhood on your desktop.

Select "Properties" from the pop-up menu.

If an item labeled "TCP/IP" (may be followed by the name of your
NIC) does not appear in the list of installed network components,
click the "Add..." button.

Select "Protocol" and click the "Add..." button.

Select "Microsoft" from the "Manufacturers" list and "TCP/IP" from
the "Network Protocols" list. Click "OK".

Double-click on the item labeled "TCP/IP" (may be followed by the
name of your NIC) in the list of installed network components.

Click on the "IP Address" tab.

Select "Specify an IP address".

If you are connecting via a crossover cable, set the IP address field
to "192.0.0.193". If you are connecting via a hub, make sure none
of the nodes on the network have an IP address of 192.0.0.192. Set
the IP address of the computer to a number other than 192.0.0.192
(for example, 192.0.0.193).
10 Click "OK" and then Click "OK" again. At this point, you may be
prompted to insert your OS CD; if so, follow the instructions given.
Finally, you will be prompted for a reboot; reboot the computer.
To set up TCP/IP port and printer driver

Select "Settings" from the Start menu, and "Printers" from the
"Settings" submenu.

Double-click on "Add Printer".

Click "Next".

When asked how the printer is connected to your computer, select
"Local Printer" and click "Next".

Select "No" under "Do you print from MS-DOS based programs?"
Click "Next".

Select "Digital" from the "Manufacturers" list and "Digital DEClaser
5100/Net" from the "Printers" list. Click "Next".
