You will need
•
PC running Win95/98 with a 100baseT NIC installed
•
Win95/98 Operating System CD
•
CAT5 crossover cable (or a 100baseT hub and 2 CAT5 patch cords)
•
NovaJet printer with E-Connect
•
IEEE 1284 Parallel Cable (short cable included)
To connect the E-Connect to your printer

Attach the short IEEE 1284 parallel cable from the parallel port on
the E-Connect to the parallel port on the printer.
To connect the printer to your computer
If you are using a crossover cable:

Connect one end of the crossover cable to the RJ-45 socket on the
E-Connect.

Connect the other end of the crossover cable to the RJ-45 socket on
your PCs NIC.
If you are using a hub:
1
Connect one end of one patch cable to the RJ-45 socket on the E-
Connect, and the other end to a socket on the hub.

Connect one end of the other patch cable to the RJ-45 socket on
your PC's NIC, and the other end to a socket on the hub.
At this point, both the 100baseT and the OK lights on the E-Connect
should be powered on when both the printer and the computer are
powered on.
