Remove the top cover from the unit by squeezing both pressure points on the
side of the it and pulling the cover and body apart. The impeller can be
accessed by removing the adjustable outlet.
The impeller can then be gently pulled away from the housing and inspected.
Ensure that the plastic propeller part of the impeller is attached to the
magnetic part and that they have not come apart or split. If this is the case you
need to replace your impeller. Wash parts with fresh water carefully.
Filter Foam & Media
Filter foam can be used repeatedly and can simply be washed in aquarium
water between uses to remove a build-up of dirt, sludge and grime.
However, If your filter sponge is tearing or beginning to wear, consider
replacing it.
The 700IF+ foam can be accessed by removing the base of the body.
To access the filter media remove the top cover from the unit by squeezing
both pressure points on the side of the it and pulling the cover and body apart.
IMPORTANT!
Never use tap water, or soap or detergents, when cleaning your
unit or rinsing media. Make sure no debris is trapped inside.
