8. AC/DC measurement (see Fig. 10)
The displayed value of AC measurement is a true RMS.
* During online AC measurement, press "Hz/%" to select the auxiliary
display frequency/ duty cycle measurement mode. Press "SELECT" to
select AC+DC measurement mode: "(AC+DC) value" will be shown on the
main display. When "Hz%" is pressed, AC component/ DC component/
frequency appears sequentially on the auxiliary display.
* In mA mode, press and hold "SELECT" to activate the %(4-20mA)
measurement function. At that time, the calibrated percentage of the
measured current will be displayed: 0% for 4mA; 100% for 20mA. Fig. 10
Note:
Before series connection of the meter with the circuit to be measured,
switch off the power of the circuit.
Correct input port and function mode shall be used for measurement.
If the current cannot be estimated, the measurement shall be started
from the high range.
The 10A, mA/μA input jacks are internally provided with fuses. Never
connect the test probes in parallel to any circuit, especially the power
supply terminals, for fear of damage to the meter and personal injury.
When the measured current is greater than 5A, for safe use, each
measurement shall last for less than 10 seconds, and the measurement
interval shall be longer than 15 minutes.
