The switches must have sufficient available network ports to accommodate the
following:
Data network 10/25 GbE switches: Two 10/25 GbE ports per node, per switch
l
Management network switches: One 1/10 GbE and one BMC (iDRAC) port
l
per node.
IP addresses
Virtual IP features are not supported by VxFlex Ready Node v2.5 in a Windows
environment, but it is recommended that you take the corresponding
configurations into account when planning your network in order to streamline
future support for these features. Reserve an additional IP address in each data
network for future use.
Prepare IP addresses in your network for the VxFlex Ready Node servers based
on the following calculations:

IP address pools
The pools of IP addresses used for static allocation for the following
groups:
1. Node_MGMT_IP = Management IP addresses of the VxFlex Ready
Node servers
2. BMC_MGMT_IP = BMC (iDRAC) IP address for each node
The formula to calculate IP address subnet pool or subnet needs is: N*Node_MGMT_IP
+N*BMC_MGMT_IP + Optional (AMS server IP address)
The VxFlex OS data IP network requires two separate subnets.

1. Node_DATA1_IP = internal (interconnect) IP
addresses of the VxFlex Ready Node servers
2. MDM_Cluster_Virtual_IP_DATA1 = the Virtual IP
addresses of the MDM cluster in the "Data1" network
The formula to calculate the subnet pool or subnet needs is: N*Node_DATA1_IP
+MDM_Cluster_Virtual_IP_DATA1
