Select the operation method of the zoom
ring on the lens.
B LEFT(W)/RIGHT(T)
Turn the zoom ring clockwise, as viewed
from the body, to more to the telephoto
end.
RIGHT(W)/LEFT(T)
Turn the zoom ring counterclockwise, as
viewed from the body, to more to the
telephoto end.
b Note
• This setting is available only when a lens that
supports switching the direction of the zoom
ring is attached. Cannot be used with lenses that
do not support the switching function.
STEADYSHOT
This setting is available only when a lens
that supports SteadyShot image
stabilization is attached.
B STANDARD ( )
Uses SteadyShot under relatively stable
conditions.
ACTIVE ( )
Uses SteadyShot with more powerful
stabilization effect.
OFF ( )
Does not use SteadyShot.
This setting is recommended when you use
a tripod.
b Notes
• [ACTIVE] can be selected only when recording
with a lens that supports active image
stabilization.
• For lenses fitted with an image stabilization
selector switch, the switch setting on the lens
takes precedence.
This menu cannot be selected if a lens fitted
with an image stabilization selector switch is
attached that does not support ACTIVE image
stabilization. The image stabilization for such a
lens is:
Lens switch on: STANDARD
Lens switch off: OFF

light attached to the multi-interface shoe.
B POWER LINK
Video light turns on/off when the
camcorder power is turned on/off.
REC LINK
Video light turns on/off when the
camcorder starts/stops recording.
REC LINK+STBY
Video light turns on or switches to standby
when the camcorder starts/stops recording.
AUTO
Light turns on automatically.
