After you install the printer driver, select the ReadMe 1st icon
in the Driver Disk window for the latest information about
your printer.
Refer to the Reference Guide for instructions on operating and
maintaining your printer, as well as for troubleshooting
guidelines and technical specifications.

Optional Interfaces

You can supplement the capabilities of your printer's built-in
hardware interfaces by installing an optional interface card. For
example, if you want to connect your printer to an AppleTalk@
or EtherTalk™ network, you need to install a LocalTalk@ or
Ethernet@ interface card. For information on installing and
using an interface card, see Appendix A of the Reference Guide.

Getting the Most Out of Your Printer

The printer supports a wide variety of settings that let you
improve print quality or speed up printing. You can customize
these settings with the printer driver to produce a variety of
image types with EPSON's specially formulated inks and
papers.

Three Resolutions to Choose From

For printed images, resolution is measured in dots per inch
(dpi). Your printer has three resolutions, or printing modes:
720 dpi, 360 dpi, and 180 dpi. The higher the resolution, the
more detailed and realistic the image, and the longer it takes to
print.
