4.4 Headers and Connectors

Onboard Fan Header
This motherboard has eight headers (FAN1~8). All these 4-pin fan headers are backward-
compatible with traditional 3-pin fans. However, onboard fan speed control is available only
when all 4-pin fans are used on the motherboard. Fan speed control is supported by Thermal
Management via IPMI 2.0 interface. See the table below for pin definitions.
TPM Header
The Trusted Platform Module (TPM)/Port 80 is located at JTPM1 and is available from
SMCI (optional). A TPM/Port 80 connector is a security device that supports encryption and
authentication in hard drives. It allows the motherboard to deny access if the TPM associated
with the hard drive is not installed in the system. See the table below for pin definitions.
RAID Key Header
A RAID key header is located at JRK1 on the motherboard and is used to support onboard
NVMe drives.
Chassis Intrusion
A Chassis Intrusion header is located at JL1 on the motherboard. Attach the appropriate cable
from the chassis to inform you of a chassis intrusion when the chassis is opened. Refer to
the table below for pin definitions.
