3.SAFETY RULES

This hoist is not designed for, and should not be used for, lifting, supporting, or transporting
personnel. Any modifications to upgrade, re-rate, or otherwise alter the hoist equipment must be
authorized by either the original manufacturer or a qualified professional engineer.
Only trained personnel are allowed to operate the hoist.
Prior to each lifting operation, it is essential to make sure that:
(a) the correct lifting sling is being used.
(b) the lifting sling is located in the hook as shown below (Illust. 2) and that a safety latch has
been fitted.
