applying unnecessary pressure when lids are in place as this could
cause them to leak/spill.

Storing your milk in the fridge
If your expressed breast milk will be fed to your baby within 24 hours,
it can be stored in the fridge in an assembled VIA Feeding System
-
or standard AVENT Feeding Bottle. Assemble the teat, screw ring
and dome cap and attach onto the VIA Adaptor and Cup or the body
of the Feeding Bottle (see below).
Storing your milk in the freezer
To store in the freezer (for up to 3 months), use
a sterilised AVENT VIA Lid to seal the VIA Cup. You
can write the date and time of expression on the
k
Cups so that older milk can be used up first.
11. Feeding your baby expressed breast milk
To feed your baby, replace the VIA Lid with a sterilised
ored
VIA Adaptor, locking ring, dome cap and AVENT teat.
eezer
Frozen breast milk should be defrosted overnight in
the refrigerator. However, in an emergency, it can be
defrosted in a jug of hot water. Once thawed use
within 24 hours.
Breast milk can be heated in the same way as any other bottle feed.
Stand the VIA Feeding System or Feeding Bottle in a bowl of hot
water, or alternatively, for a safe and fast way to warm feeds, use the
AVENT Express Bottle Warmer. IMPORTANT! Breast milk, formula milk
to
or solids will heat faster in AVENT VIA Cups than in standard feeding
bottles/containers. Always make sure you test the temperature of the
milk before giving to baby.
add
nly
Never heat breast milk or formula in a microwave as this may
n)
destroy valuable nutrients and antibodies. In addition, the uneven
heating may cause hot spots in the liquid which could cause burns
to the throat.
