tween OPEN and CLOSED.

With a little time and experience, an operator can be-
come profi cient in setting the defl ectors at the opti-
mum positions for the task.
HINT: From the operators position, the user can see
the left defl ector gear rack and judge the position of
the defl ectors.
With the defl ectors at about half open, like the front
defl ector in the above photo, the air stream is directed
downward under the debris and is useful for blowing
wet leaves, grass and dirt.
For moving large piles of debris, remove the halfway
pin allowing defl ectors to open fully for maximum air
fl ow.
REMEMBER: Air velocity can be controlled by the
throttle control as well as by the defl ectors.
