5.4.4 What to do if there may be a leak
DANGER
Leaks in the exhaust system can release
oil, steam and gases.
Risk to life due to scalding or
poisoning
► No naked flames. Do not smoke.
► Ventilate the area adequately.

Close the gas shut-off facility if gas is escaping.
●
Shut down the machine.
●
Leave danger zone.
●
Wear personal protective equipment (e.g.
protective gloves, safety goggles).
●
Call your service partner.
WARNING
Leaks and breakages can release oil,
steam and acid.
Serious personal injury due to
burns, scalding or chemical burns
► Observe safety instructions.
► Wear personal protective
equipment (e.g. protective gloves,
safety goggles).
Substances used in operating the EM-20/39:
●
Engine cooling circuit: approx. 30 % glycol/water
mixture.
●
Batteries: battery acid.
●
Oil tank and engine: lubricating oil.

Faults and troubleshooting
In the event of an operational fault, the fault indicator
(
F ig. 28/1) lights up on the programming and display
field.
(1) Press the Message key (
logged faults appears; see
(2) Correct the fault and acknowledge this by
pressing OK (
F ig. 11/6).
(3) If the EMERGENCY STOP button has been
pressed, reset the button with the corresponding
switch key.
(4) Resume operation by pressing the start button
(
F ig. 28/2).
(5) If the fault cannot be corrected/acknowledged,
contact your service partner.
