Part 2- Essential Winch Accessories & Equipment
Your Q series winch is the ultimate recovery tool. However,
this winch is designed to be used with other helpful
accessories to safely ensure you can get "un-stuck". You
never know how or where you will get stuck and having
the right tools will help increase the usefulness of your
winch while creating a safe winching experience.
At the minimum we suggest the following accessories be
carried with you at all times. All of these items are readily
available by themselves or in handy money saving kits from
Quadratec.com:

Leather Gloves

Leather Gloves
Steel Wire rope is quite
strong. It can have sharp
barbs and slivers on the
cable that can cut your
hands. To protect yourself
you should always use
leather gloves while using
your winch. Please also
note that before you begin your recovery operation, you
should remove or secure all loose clothing to make sure it
does not interfere with the winch and can not possibly
create a safety hazard.
