Description
Pre-read editing failed.
Source was undefined or defined
incorrectly.
An invalid edit point was set for
split editing.
Discontinuous timecode was
found between the preroll section
and the IN point (when the Pn TC
JUMP item in the AUX DATA
menu is set to ON).
There is no reel mounted on the
VTR, or the reel name specified
for the current edit does not
match the reel name of the tape
in the connected VTR.
VTR is not connected.
Steps to take
Check the following.
• The recorder is a VTR with a
pre-read function.
• The PRE READ item in the
setup menu (INIT DATA) is set
to ON.
Define a source correctly.
Define a valid split edit point.

Mount the correct reel in the VTR.
Connect the VTR corresponding to
the time counter display panel
containing the error message.
