Safety features

System lock/Safety lock

The system lock and safety lock are
deactivated if there is a power
outage.
Three-finger control is the default
setting. You can change the default to
one-finger control (see
"Programming").
Your cooktop is equipped with a safety
lock to prevent the cooktop and the
cooking zones being turned on or any
settings being altered
The system lock is activated when the
cooktop is turned off. When it is
activated, the cooktop cannot be turned
on and the timer cannot be used. The
cooktop is programmed so that the
system lock must be activated
manually. It can be programmed to be
activated automatically 5 minutes after
the cooktop has been turned off if the
system lock is not manually activated
first (see "Programming").

The safety lock is activated when the
cooktop is turned on. When the safety
lock is activated, the cooktop can be
operated only under certain conditions:
- The power levels for the cooking
zones and the timer settings cannot
be changed.
- The cooking zones, entire cooktop,
and the timer can be turned off, but
once turned off cannot be turned on
again.
If a locked sensor switch is touched
when the safety lock or the system lock
is activated, the indicator light comes
on and  appears in the timer display
for a few seconds.
Activating
 Tap the  and  sensor buttons of
both right cooking zones until  the
indicator light of the safety lock
appears in the timer display.
The indicator light and  go out after
a short while.
Deactivating
 Tap the  and  sensor buttons of
both right cooking zones until  the
indicator light of the safety lock go
out in the timer display.
