unit to be pulled forward for servicing if necessary.
The unit should not be located next to ovens, grills or other high heat
generating sources.
Place the unit on a flat surface that is strong enough to support the unit when
fully loaded.
The ice maker is designed for freestanding, recessed (under a cabinet) or
built-in installations.
o Freestanding installation: Allows you to install the ice maker in
any desired location, provided there is adequate access to a water
supply.
o Recessed installation: Allows you to install the ice marker under
a cabinet or in a kitchen cabinet, provided there is enough
clearance space around the ice maker (as noted above).
o Built-in installation: If this method of installation is chosen, it is
still necessary to allow adequate ventilation space around the unit.
The following steps will guide you through the built-in installation
process.
Important: Be sure the drain hose is connected and fed into the
drain line before the ice maker is moved into its final position.

Leveling the Ice Maker

The ice maker must be level to ensure optimal flow
through the evaporator. A unit that is not level may
result in reduced ice production and noise.
A carpenter's level is recommended to ensure level
placement.
The unit can be raised or lowered by adjusting each
of the four casters at the bottom of the ice maker.
o To lower a side of the ice maker, turn the
leveling legs to the right.
o To raise a side of the ice maker, turn the
leveling legs to the left.
IMPORTANT: When installing in a cabinet or on the
floor, you must adjust the feet to level the ice maker and lock the rollers. If the
floor is level, extend the two front feet to touch the floor.

Connecting the water supply

IMPORTANT: Improper water line connection may result in flooding.
Professional installation is recommended. Review state and local plumbing codes
before installation. Make sure the hoses are not pinched, kinked or damaged
8
Place the ice maker in front of the installation location.
Remove the feet and place the unit flat on the floor or on a
platform, depending on the selected location.
The water supply line must be properly connected to your
plumbing before connecting to the ice maker.
Turn on the main water supply and tap. Check for any leaks
in the water supply connection (including the water inlet
connection).
If the electrical outlet for the ice maker is behind the cabinet,
plug in the ice maker.
Place the ice maker into the desired location.
Seal all sides of the bottom of the ice maker with an
approved caulking compound.
