The temperature on the inside of the insulated container is set precisely by
adding heat with a heater. Prerequisite for this is that the ambient temperature
is sufficiently low. An additional cooling unit is required for measuring the vis-
cosity below or close to the ambient temperature. The device variants Lt and
Lv are equipped with a vortex cooler for this purpose. It continuously blows
cold air into the measuring unit enclosure. This ensures that the target tem-
perature in the insulation container can be attained by heating.
The pressure regulator and flow controller (see Figure 4.4 on page 61) are
used to set the pressure and flow of the petrochemical product flowing from
the system.
The pressure differential transmitter (6) measures the falling pressure with
two lines in capillary.
The chambers of the pressure differential transmitter can be bled with the two
bleed valves (4). They can also be used to replace an old product with a new
one.
The insulated container (2) with the capillary unit is mounted together with the
mass flow meter on a swing arm (1). This unit can be swung out of the hous-
ing for maintenance work.
