DSC SETUP

12.8 Timeout

This feature allows you to set the number of minutes the radio should keep a given
screen displayed before it restores the standby display, if no radio operation is
detected.
You can set a timeout for two types of screen: the non-distress screen and the
distress transmitting screen.
Press the Menu/DSC control until the "MAIN MENU" screen appears.
Step 1
Go to "DSC SETUP > TIMEOUT ".
Step 2
The "TIMEOUT" page appears on the screen.
Step 3
Select "NON DISTRESS" or "RX DISTRESS".
Do one of the following:

To enable the Timeout feature, select "15 MIN ".
The message selected at step 4 is closed automatically when there is
no operation within 15 minutes.
To disable the Timeout feature, select "NO TIMEOUT ".
Press the Menu/DSC control to save the setting and return to the
