Net3™ One-Port DMX Gateway

Overview

The Net3™ One-Port DMX Gateway is a network data distribution device designed for simple
installations with support for sACN and ETCNet2 protocols. The instructions outlined in this document
apply to both Input and Output versions of the One-Port gateway.
The One-Port DMX Gateway installs into a single gang backbox (not provided). It is also available as a
Portable Gateway, which can be pipe-mounted as required. The One-Port DMX Gateway is powered by
802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 18-72 VDC power. Network wiring should be installed and
terminated by a qualified network installer and follow standard Ethernet wiring practice.
For configuration of a One-Port DMX Gateway running software version 4.3 or later use ETC's Gateway
Configuration Editor (GCE) version 3.0 or later. A One-Port DMX Gateway running a previous version
of software (previous to version 4.3), or for a One-Port DMX Gateway running in ETCNet2 mode use
Network Configuration Editor (NCE) version 4.3 or later.

Installation

The Net3™ One-Port DMX Gateway is available in a wall mount (for installation into a backbox) or a
portable (touring pipe mounted) version. Follow the instructions below for your specified unit.

Setting the Jumper

The One-Port Gateway ships from the factory with a jumper set in the "NET"
position. This allows configuration of the gateway using Net3 or ETCNet2
configuration software, such as GCE or NCE.
If you are configuring the gateway for use with legacy ETCNet1 systems, set
the jumper to pins 1 through 4 to assign the ETCNet universe the gateway
should be associated with. If you are unsure of the necessary mode, contact
ETC Technical Service for assistance.
To change the jumper setting on a Portable Gateway, you must first remove
the gateway from the enclosure.
