2.3   Real-time peak-listing mode (PKL option)
Data storage mode (debug)
This mode is required to setup the peak-detection parameters according to user system detector.
When using the peak-listing in normal operation, only the time-stamps and pulse descriptors are
provided in output.
The Data storage is a debug mode proposed to help user with system setup, debug and validation.
When enabled, this mode allows to store the raw sample data (or the data after filtering) in the
memory. User can then perform the readout of these raw data in addition to the pulse descriptors data.
DataStorageMode:
Supported values:
None: samples are not stored in memory.
Raw: raw samples are stored
Filtered: filtered samples are stored.
DerivativeFiltered: Filtered derivative samples are stored.
In normal operation in peak-list mode, DataStorageMode is set to None and this mode is disabled.
The storage of raw data is enabled by setting DataStorageMode to Raw,Filtered or
DerivativeFiltered depending on user requirement.
In normal operation, this mode shall be disabled. If enabled, the Data storage mode uses much of
the available output data bandwidth. Therefore, in this mode, some pulse descriptors might be lost
in case of high peak density and large record length.
The Data storage mode cannot be combined with the streaming mode (CST option).
Output data
In peak-list mode, the function
the data readout.
The driver returns a stream with:
One trigger descriptor with the trigger timestamp for each trigger event
One pulse descriptor with the timestamp and characteristics of each detected pulse.
This stream can be read while the acquisition and processing are running.
When enabling the Data storage mode (debug), the acquired data records are provided in a 2
stream. The samples readout can be performed using a standard fetch function.
Descriptors
The pulse time-stamps are aimed to position the pulse relative to the trigger event that defines the
beginning of the record. The descriptors are output consecutively in a dedicated stream of data.
A specific header byte is used to distinguish the various types of descriptors as listed in the table
below.
