Demounting the ADFA from the vehicle roof
Leaving the magnetic mount adapter on the vehicle roof
The magnetic foil may stick to the vehicle paint and this may result
in damage to the magnetic mount adapter and to the vehicle roof
paint.
 Always take off the magnetic mount adapter if you are not using it.
Opening the door with the window closed
If the window is almost closed while the RF cable is routed through
the window, the ADFA may be pulled from the roof when opening the
door. This can destroy the ADFA and damage the roof of your
vehicle.
 Before opening the vehicle door, open the window pane and ensure
that the RF cable is not jammed in the window frame.
1. Open the window pane completely.
2. Disconnect the RF cable from the basic unit.
3. Remove the security strap.
4. Take off the ADFA:
a. Lift the magnetic plate starting at one corner. This will reduce the
magnetic force on the vehicle roof.
b. Lift the entire magnetic mount adapter from the vehicle roof and
remove it.
CAUTION! The ADFA is heavy. Be careful when taking off the ADFA
from the vehicle roof.
