Deleting Older Versions of a Backup File

You can delete all old versions of a selected backup file without
having to search for them first.
To delete all old versions of a backup file:
1 Open the Tree view, following the instructions in
Backup Files on page
2 In the view window, click the backup file whose older versions
you want to delete. (You can select multiple backup files, if
necessary.)
3 In the Tools menu, select Advanced, select Delete, then select
Old Revisions.
4 Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
All old versions of the selected backup file are deleted. The
newest version of the selected backup file is retained and the
original file remains intact on your computer.

Deleting Files If the Originals Are Deleted

You can delete all versions of all backup files that do not have
matching original files on your computer. Because Adaptec File
Saver does the work of comparing your backup files with your
original files, this is a time-efficient way of making storage space
available for new backup files.
To delete backup files without matching original files:
1 Open the Tree view, following the instructions in
Backup Files on page
2 In the Tools menu, select Advanced, select Delete, then select If
Original Deleted.
3 Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
All backup files without matching original files are found and
deleted.
