Backup a file only if it has been written to—By default, this
setting is selected. Adaptec File Saver backs up a file only if
there has been a change. When this setting is not selected, a file
that is opened is backed up, regardless of whether or not the file
is changed. Independent of this setting, new files are always
backed up.
Do not attempt to backup open files—By default, this setting is
not selected. This setting applies only to files that are open but
have not been written to. By default, Adaptec File Saver backs
up open files. Select this setting to stop Adaptec File Saver from
backing up open files.
Ignore file time/attribute changes—By default, this option is
not selected. When an application sets file attributes or file time,
Adaptec File Saver interprets this as a change and backs up the
file when new attributes and file times match current attributes.
Select this setting to ignore file time and attribute changes.
Use the lowest priority for background processing—By
default, this setting is not selected. Windows supports multiple
priority levels for running application tasks. Tasks with higher
priorities are run before tasks with lower priorities. All
applications are typically started at a normal priority level. To
avoid interfering with other applications, Adaptec File Saver
backs up your files at a lower priority level. Select this setting to
assign the lowest priority to all tasks.
