2. FA-2 LED Strobe Trigger Installation
a. Install the LED Strobe Trigger main unit on the camera by gently sliding the hot-shoe connector
featured at the bottom of the main unit all the way through the hot-shoe mount featured on
top of the camera (Fig.4). Note that if a protective cover is installed on the camera hot-shoe
mount, it should be removed prior to installing the main unit of the LED Strobe Trigger.
b. Connect the LED cable to the
main unit using any of the two
LED cable ports featured on
both sides of the unit (Fig.5),
depending on the location of
the housing LED trigger ports
in relation to the position of
the camera hot-shoe and
main unit. If the housing LED
trigger ports are positioned to the right of the camera hot-shoe and main unit, connect the LED
cable to the LED cable port on the right side of the main unit, and vice versa.
c. Test the LED Strobe Trigger:
i. Turn the camera on. Note that there's no need to set the camera flash mode, as the LED
Strobe Trigger is activated whenever an image is captured, even if camera flash mode is set
to "Flash Off".
ii. Turn the LED Strobe Trigger
on by sliding the power
switch featured on the main
unit to the "ON" position.
The indicator light should
start flashing green (if fully
charged).
iii. Capture an image by fully
depressing the camera
shutter release while
carefully observing the two
LED's featured at the end of
the LED cable. Depressing
the shutter release should
flash both LED's (Fig.6). If depressing the camera shutter release and capturing an image
doesn't flash
