Electric HVLP Paint Sprayer

Thinning

Inadequate Thinning:
Paint must be thinned by approx. 15% when using a paint sprayer.
Use water to thin water-based paint.
Use turps to thin oil-based paint.
For 1 litre of paint, add 150ml of water/turps.
For 5 litres of paint, add 750ml of water/turps.
Be sure to stir the paint well after the water/turps has been added.
If the spray is still not fine enough or the flow is inadequate, try thinning the paint a little more.
Do not thin bulk amounts of paint until you have determined the ideal amount and tested it through the
sprayer.

Multi-Stage Centrifugal Blower Maintenance

The atomiser needs minimum maintenance. First of all, disconnect the apparatus from the mains.
Clean the structure with a clean cloth (soaked in water or alcohol, if necessary).
Make sure that the filter (#11) is clean by blowing or washing it with soap and replacing it, when necessary.
In this case, use a screwdriver to disassemble the filter-cover and lift eh internal hooks (Fig. 9).

Paint Gun Maintenance

The paint gun must be thoroughly cleaned immediately after each use. If the paint dries inside the gun, cleaning
will be much more difficult and it may no longer be possible to use the gun.
Use the thinner (or solvent) recommended by the paint manufacturer. Clean the gun in a well-ventilated room.
Follow the safety instructions described in the
General Rules
section.
