1 Select the programme, then press [OK].

To pause recording
After displaying the recording programme, press
[;].
• Press again to restart recording.
(A programme is not split into separate
programmes.)
• Timer recording programme cannot be paused.
To record three programmes simultaneously
While recording, perform steps 1–3 on page 35.
Simultaneous rec and play
You can play the recording programme from the
beginning or the programmes previously recorded
to the HDD.
1 Press [VIDEO MENU].
Channel Channel
"[ (red)" is displayed on the recording
programme.

broadcast
This unit allows you to record/view/play an
encrypted programme by decryption using a
supporting CI module.
Recording of encrypted broadcast
The recording of encrypted broadcasts differs
according to the "Recording for Encrypted
Channel" ( 93) settings as follows.

encrypted form.
Encrypted programmes simultaneous
recording/viewing/playing
When "Automatic" is selected
The unit can record three encrypted programmes
simultaneously. Programmes are normally
recorded in a decrypted form, but depending on
the state of the unit, they may be recorded in an
encrypted form.
When "Decrypt Recording" is selected
The unit cannot record programmes without a CI
module, which is necessary for decryption.
• To record three programmes simultaneously,
select "Automatic".
The following tables show some of the operation
patterns of the unit when you try to
simultaneously record/view/play two programmes
("A" and "B") that compete for the same CI
module.
