There is no sound coming out.
• Refer to "Connection" (
audio output settings suited to the connections
of your device.
In the following cases, audio is not output from
the terminals listed below:
• HDMI VIDEO OUT terminal
- When a device is connected to the HDMI
AUDIO OUT terminal and "HDMI(VIDEO)
Output Mode" is set to "Automatic ( Video
Only / Video+Audio )" (
- When "Audio Output" in "Advanced Settings"
is set to "Off" ( 97)
- While playback is being performed with
"Audio Output" in "Settings for High Clarity
Sound" set to "COAXIAL Only" (

Recording, timer recording and
copying
Cannot record.
Cannot copy.
• Some broadcasts are copyright protected.
• You cannot record to the disc by pressing the
[REC ¥] or timer recording.
• The disc is protected. (
• [DVD-R] [DVD-RW] [+R] [+RW] Since it will copy to
HDD temporarily, copying is not possible if there
is insufficient available capacity on the HDD.
• This unit cannot record/copy NTSC signals to
discs that already have PAL signal recordings.
A part or whole of a recorded programme has
been lost.
If there is a power failure or the AC mains lead is
disconnected from the household mains socket
while recording or editing, the programme may be
lost or the HDD may become unusable. We
cannot offer any guarantee regarding lost
programmes.
Timer recording does not work properly.
• When is displayed on the screen. (
• If your CAM requires a PIN for timer recording,
you need to enter PIN in advance. (

Auto Renewal Recording does not work
properly.
• The programme will not be overwritten in the
following cases:
- the programme is protected
- any programme is being played back or copied
- a screen such as Video Menu is displayed
Instead, the programme will be saved as a
separate programme and that will be
overwritten.
