6.1.2

Lubrication

Every 20 working hours lubricate the inner part of the fitting (16) with an oiler.
Every 20 working hours lubricate the conrod (11) with an oiler. When carrying out this operation, wear
heavy-duty protective gloves and manually close the blades till the conrod (11) protrudes.
6.1.3

Blade group adjustment

Gradually tighten the screw (10) up to proper operation.
6.1.4

Blade sharpening

Every 2 working hours sharpen the blade cutting edge (4) by means of an adequate filing stone. See
Image G.
IMPORTANT!
The sharpening filing angle must be 45°
Cleaning – Storing the tool
6.1.5
Before storing the tool at the end of the working season, it is recommended to add a few drops of
diesel fuel into the air hose fitting (16) in the hand grip and to pull the operating lever (3) a few times
while the tool idles. This operation will avoid any dirt or moisture residues inside the tool.
WARNING!
Do not throw any oil out in the environment, but dispose of it in compliance with the current
environmental protection laws.
6.2

Extraordinary maintenance

WARNING!
Before carrying out any maintenance operation, disconnect the tool from the compressed air
hose.
Any maintenance operations which have not been dealt with in this manual shall be carried out
by an Authorised Service Point of CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l.
These operations shall be carried out keeping the shear clamped in a vice and wearing heavy-
duty protective gloves.
Maintenance operations shall be carried out by qualified mechanics.
6.2.1

General information

Before any maintenance operation:
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves.
Disconnect the air hose.
Clamp the tool in a vice.
6.2.2

Blade replacement

Carry out the following operations:
Disconnect the air hose from the shear body.
Remove the front cover (17) by unscrewing the two screws (18).
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves, manually close the blades (4-8) and insert the pin (12) as you can
see in the picture E.
Unlock the conrod (11).
WARNING!
As soon as you free the conrod (11), it will automatically get back into the shear body (2), so it is
important to keep your hands at a distance.
Unscrew the screws (8).
Remove the blade group (4-6) and replace it.
NOTE: To re-assemble the blade group (4-6) carry out the above-mentioned operations in reverse.
