4 INSTALLATION

4.1

Tool assembling on the extension pole

Mount the extension pole on the tool (clockwise) by screwing it onto the fitting (15) until it locks; for
dismounting turn anticlockwise.
4.2
Mains connection
Check that the safety catch (5) is engaged.
Adjust the pressure at 1000 kPa (10 bar).
Check the good condition of the mesh filter positioned against the connector (16). If necessary, wipe
any residue.
Connect the supply hose to the fitting (16) having first made sure that the fitting is thoroughly clean. Its
inner diameter must be at least 6 mm.
WARNING!
Never work on trees or ladders, since it is extremely dangerous.
Before starting any task with the tool, wear protective clothes. Check that all the safety and
protection devices can perfectly work and have been exactly assembled.
4.3

Packing and handling

The tool is packed and carried by the manufacturer to the customer in a carton box. The packaged unit
weight is 1 kg, so it can be easily carried without any special help.
WARNING!
The handling of loads must be carried out in compliance with the current safety rules in the
workplace.

5 TOOL USE

5.1

Control devices

To start the tool, keep the safety catch (5) in its forward position while pulling the operating lever (3). To stop
the tool, release the operating lever (3).
5.2

Using the tool

WARNING!
Always wear adequate and suitable safety clothing for the work to be carried out. Wear a
protective helmet and make sure that your clothes are fitting to the body. Avoid wearing
neckties, necklaces, belts or long hair not tied as they can be caught between the moving
parts.
When holding the tool in your hand, perform the following operations:
a)
Carefully put a branch in the shear then, manually tighten the lever (3) operating the tool and cut the
branch.
b)
Once the branch has been cut, release the operating lever (3) and repeat the operation from step a).
