FUEL
Ensure you use the correct fuel

USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE
Locking the doors?
Key / remote control operated central double-locking. Auto door locking and re-locking. Use the central locking switch to
lock all the doors from the inside.
Anti-theft system?
starter switch / key slot.
Opening boot/tailgate?
Centrally locked. Use the key or remote control to unlock / open.
Adjusting door mirrors?
Opening the windows?
Electric front and rear operated via control buttons on the driver's door.
Using child door locks?
Child proof door locks fitted to the rear doors, depress the central locking button to activate it. Use power child door locking
switch to lock rear doors. Check from inside that the doors are securely locked.
Starting the engine?
Ensure gear selector is in N and electronic parking brake is on. Insert key into key slot (or some models use a smart key -
just keep the smart key in your pocket or bag) and press the power button to start or stop the engine. Select desired gear.
Release electronic parking brake and brake pedal and gently press the accelerator to move the vehicle. Vehicle features
auto start/stop technology whereby the engine auto shuts off when vehicle is stationary, gears are in neutral and foot pedals
are not depressed - the engine automatically restarts when a foot pedal is depressed. Select EV mode for electric only mode
(for low speed, short distance travel - can be up to 50 km maximum range*), or Drive Mode for optimum use of petrol and
hybrid technology. The driver display indicates an energy monitor, hybrid system indicator and eco score and fuel economy.
Opening fuel filler cap?
Centrally locked. Located under flap on rear nearside. Remote release. Lightly press the edge of the flap to open it and twist
off the cap anticlockwise.
Charging the battery?
The hybrid batteries can be re-charged in a couple of hours (16 amp charging) using the plug-in power adaptor. Solar
panels in the roof also boost the battery charge. The electric only range can be up to 50km depending on your driving style.
Releasing the bonnet?
Pull bonnet release lever located to the lower right of the instrument panel. Unhook catch under bonnet.
Folding the rear seats?
catch and fold the seat down. To return the seat to normal use, raise the seat and push it firmly to engage the seat lock.
Check it is locked before using the seat.
How to change a tyre?
Vehicle is not normally supplied with a spare wheel or tyre repair kit. For any assistance in the event of having a
punctured tyre, or should the vehicle not be supplied with a spare wheel and tyre or a tyre repair kit, please call the
Europcar Tyre Helpline 0800 0280 999. Lift the recess cover inside the boot to access the tools and jack. Move the vehicle
to firm / level ground. Turn the engine off, select first gear (manual) or P (automatic). Apply the parking brake. Only use the
specific reinforced jack points on the underside of the vehicle. Crank the jack to lift the vehicle.
How to drive an automatic?
To change gears use the small centre console shift lever and move the lever to select drive modes. Select N for neutral, R for
reversing (the vehicle must be at a complete standstill before this gear can be selected). Press the P switch adjacent to lever
when parking the vehicle. To downshift into 2nd gear when going down a long, steep hill, select the "B" mode option. For
normal driving select D where the transmission will use all available forward gears automatically. Whenever the vehicle is at
a standstill apply the electronic parking brake (P).
