INSTALLAZIONE DELL'APPARECCHIO

I condizionatori della serie MEC devono essere installatisu
di un piano perfettamente orizzontale prevedendo gli spazi
tecnici necessari per la mandata e l'aspirazione dell'aria.
Frontalmente agli apparecchi si deve lasciare lo spazio per
il controllo del gruppo ventilante e del compressore, acces-
sibili attraverso i pannelli frontali superiore e inferiore.
Attenzione: l'installazione deve obbligatoriamente essere
effetuata con plenum o con canale per evitare contatti
accidentali con parti mobili (ventilatore) e spigoli vivi
(flange di mandata).
Tutti gli apparecchi sono predisposti con la mandata
dell'aria verso l'alto, per permettere l'immisione dell'aria
posteriormente agli apparecchi (ad esclusione dei modelli
MEC 200 W e MEC 300 W ), è necessario ruotare il gruppo
venitilante procedendo nel seguente modo:
a) modelli MEC 30 W - MEC 50 W (fig.1)
- svitare le viti (2) che fissano il gruppo di ventilazione
al telaio;
- smontare il pannello posteriore (1),
- togliere i collegamenti dei cavi di alimentazione del
motore (3);
- svilare il gruppo di ventilazione e rimontarlo sul lato
posteriore;
- ricollegare i cavi di alimentazione del motore;
- rimontare il pannello (1) sul lato superiore;
b) modelli MEC 75 W - MEC 100 W - MEC 150 W (fig.2)
- togliere il pannello frontale superiore;
- allentare i dadi (1) che fissano la culla del motore e
togliere la cinghia di trasmissione (2);
- svitare le viti (3) che fissano il gruppo di ventilazione
al telaio;
- smontare il pannello posteriore (4),
- svilare il gruppo di ventilazione e rimontarlo sul lato
posteriore;
- rimettere la cinghia di trasmissione e darne la giusta
tensione spostando la slitta del motore e fissarlo con i
dadi (1);
- rimontare il pannello (4) sul lato superiore.
N.B. Nel modello MEC 150 W i due gruppi di ventilazione
sono indipendenti tra loro, è perciò possibile avere l'emis-
sione dell'aria dei due ventilatori in due direzioni diverse.
Tutti i motori dei ventilatori sono dotati di puleggia a dia-
metro variabile che permettono di ottenere una variazione
di velocità sui ventilatori del 30%.
Per variare il numero dei giri procedere nel seguente modo
(fig.3):
- allentare i dadi (1) che fissano il motore al relativo
supporto;
- togliere la cinghia (2);
- allentare il fermo (4) con apposita chiave prismatica
(3) e ruotare la parte mobile della puleggia (5) in modo
da ottenere il diametro desiderato e quindi bloccare il
fermo (4);
- rimettere la cinghia e darne la giusta tensione e fissa
re il motore.
Si fa presente che ad ogni giro della parte mobile della
puleggia variabile, corrisponde una variazione di 50÷55
rpm del ventilatore. Per ottenere un aumento dei giri avvici-
nare le due parti della puleggia, per ottenere una diminu-
zione, allontanarle.

COLLEGAMENTI IDRAULICI

Gli attacchi idraulici sono predisposti su entrambe le fianca-
te e sul lato posteriore dell'apparecchio, come indicato

INSTALLATION

MEC air conditioners must be installed on a perfectly hori-
zontal floor and room must be left for air suction and deli-
very as well as maintenance. Inner components of ventila-
tion section and compressors are reachable from the side of
the unit.
Important: the units must be arranged for plenum or duct
installation to avoid any accidental contact with mouving
parts (fan) and sharpened edges (air delivery flanges).
When shipped, all units are arranged with upward air deli-
very. To set the air delivery backward (except on Mod. MEC
200 W and MEC 300 W ), rotate the ventilation section as
follows:
a) Models MEC 30 W - MEC 50 W (fig.1)
- unscrew screws (2) which hold the ventilation section
to the frame;
- remove the rear panel (1),
- disconnect motor feeding cable wires (3);
- remove the ventilation section and replace it on the
back of the unit;
- connect motor feeding cable wires;
- replace the panel (1) on top of the unit;
b) Models MEC 75 W - MEC 100 W - MEC 150 W (fig.2)
- remove top front panel;
- loosen nuts (1) which hold the motor cradle and remo
ve the belt (2);
- unscrew screws (3) which hold the ventilation section
to the frame;
- remove the rear panel (4),
- remove the ventilation section and replace it on the
back of the unit;
- replace the belt and set its tension by mouving the
motor cradle and fix it with the nuts (1);
- replace the panel (4) on top of the unit.
NOTE: On Mod. MEC 150 W the two ventilation sections
are indipendent from each other. It is therefore possible to
obtain the air delivery in two different directions.
All fan motor are equpped with variable pulley which per-
mits a fan speed variation of 30%. To adjust the fan speed,
proceed as follows (fig.3):
- loosen the nuts (1) which hold the motor to its moun
ting;
- remove the belt (2);
- loosen the lock (4) with a special key (3) and turn the
mouving side of the pulley (5) to the required diame
ter, then fasten the lock (4);
- replace the belt, set it to the right tension and fix the
motor.
Note that each turn of the mouving part of the pulley corre-
sponds to 50÷55 rpm of the fan. to increase the speed set
the two parts of the pulley closer together. To reduce the
speed move them further apart.

WATER CONNECTIONS

Water connections are arranged on both sides and on the
back of the unit as shown on fig.4 and 5 (water in is in A
