Operating Instructions

A. General Weighing

1. Make sure all packing materials are removed
before use.
2. Place the scale gently on a hard and flat surface
and make sure it is steady before use to obtain
tare knob
accurate measurements.
3. Place the bowl on the platform, making sure
that the indicator points to 0 before weighing an
item. To adjust the indicator to 0, use the tare
adjustment knob located behind the platform
support on top of the base unit.

B. Tare

The tare function resets the scale display to zero
in order to measure only the weight of an item. It is
frequently used to subtract the weight of containers.
1. Place a container on the platform.
2. To adjust the indicator to 0, use the tare
adjustment knob located behind the platform
support on top of the base unit.
3. Place the item into the container. The weight of
only the last item added will be measured.
4. Continue to repeat steps 2 and 3 to measure the
respective weights of additional items.
5. To clear the tare, remove all items from the
platform and use the tare adjustment knob to
adjust the indicator to 0.

Clean the scale platform before each use.
