ATM Vacuum Gauge Module Instruction Manual
Use RS–485 set the pressure unit and to read the vacuum chamber pressure
or differential pressure value.
The example set unit (SU) command sets the pressure unit to Torr:
Example SU command from host:
Response from module:
• An SUT command sets the pressure unit to Torr.
• An SUM command sets the pressure unit to mBar.
• An SUP command sets the pressure unit to Pa.
The example read unit (RU) command causes the module to return the
character string "TORR", which designates Torr as the pressure unit for
outputs and the optional display:
Example RU command from host:
Example response from module:
• An "TORR" response designates Torr as the pressure unit.
• An "MBAR" response designates mBar as the pressure unit.
• An "PASCAL" response designates Pa as the pressure unit.
The example read Convectron pressure (RD) command causes the module
to return a value that indicates vacuum chamber pressure is
1.50 x 10
–2
Torr:
Example RD command from host:
Example response from host:
• An RD command causes the module to return a value that represents
measured vacuum chamber pressure.
• An RDD command causes the module to return a value that represents
the measured differential between vacuum chamber and atmospheric
pressures.
If the returned value is not a valid representation of pressure, see page 64.
The example set display (SD) command causes the optional display to
indicate vacuum chamber pressure:
Example SD command from host:
Response from module:
• An SDC command sets the optional display to indicate Convectron gauge
pressure.
• An SDD command sets the optional display to indicate the differential
between atmospheric and vacuum chamber pressures.
