6 ASSEMBLY

6.1 Sliding guide

I� you use a sli�in� �ui�e in two pie�es� you �ust asse��le it�
as e�plaine� �elow� I� you ha�e a pre�asse��le� �ui�e� �o
on to para�raph 6���
�) Asse��le the two pie�es o� the sli�in� �ui�e� �ittin� the�
in the �entral joint (Fi�� 6 re�� A) until they �o�e to a stop
a�ainst the �etal re�eren�e relie�s (Fi�� 6 re�� B)� To �a�ilitate
en�a�in� the sli�in� �ui�e� we a��ise you to insert it in the
�entral joint� �o�pressin� it as shown in Fi�� 6 re�� C� Do not
use tools whi�h �oul� �e�or� the �ui�e or joint�
�) Sli�e the trans�ission unit (Fi��� re�� A) alon� the whole sli�in�
�ui�e� until it is near the �ront ter�inal� the one opposite the
�ri�e �ouplin��
��) Asse��le the �ront �ittin� (Fi�� � re�� B) to the trans�ission unit
(Fi�� � re�� A)�
�) Apply sli�ht tension to the �hain� ti�htenin� the nut (Fi�� �
re�� C�)�
��) Pla�e the sli�in� �ui�e on the si�e (Fi�� 8)�
6) Push the �arria�e towar� the �ri�e �lut�h unit (Fi��8
re�� C)�
�) A�just the tensioner (�i�� 8 re�� A) so that the �entral zone o�
the loop� �or�e� �y the top �ran�h o� the �hain� �oin�i�es
with a�out the �i��point o� the sli�in� �ui�e (Fi�� 8 re�� B)
Attention: too much tension can cause damage to the
transmission and drive clutch units.

6.2 Rear fitting

Be�ore se�urin� the sli�in� �ui�e to the �eilin�� asse��le the
rear �ittin� in the seat o� the �ri�e �lut�h unit an� �asten the
s�rews as shown in Fi�� 9 re�� �
