Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in
CAUTION: Removing the coin-cell battery resets the BIOS setup program's settings to default. It is
recommended that you note the BIOS setup program's settings before removing the coin-cell battery.
2. Enter Service Mode.
3. Remove the SIM card.
4. Remove the microSD
5. Remove the base cover.
6. Remove the memory module.
7. Remove the 2280 solid-state drive
8. Remove the WLAN card.
9. Remove the WWAN card.
10. Remove the battery.
11. Remove the heat sink -
12. Remove the assembly inner
13. Remove the system board.
NOTE:
The system board can be removed with the heat sink attached in order to simplify the procedure and preserve the
thermal bond between the system board and heat sink.
14. Remove the SIM-card slot filler
15. Remove the power-button
16. Remove the LED board.
