Een goede praktijk is om alle koudemiddelen veilig te recupereren. Alvorens deze taak uit te voeren, moet een monster van de olie en het koelmiddel worden genomen indien een analyse nodig is voordat het teruggewonnen koelmiddel opnieuw wordt gebruikt.
