These items should be serviced by an authorized generator dealer.

For a frequent use, only a maintenance appointment in the specified intervals guaranteed a long
term smooth running of the generator.

Initial oil change should be performed after first twenty (20) hours of use. Thereafter change oil every
50 hours. Before changing the oil, check for a suitable way to dispose of the old oil. Do not pour
it down sewage drains, onto garden soil or into open streams. Your local zoning or environmental
regulations will give you more detailed instructions on proper disposal.
Improper maintenance, or failure to correct a problem before operation, can cause a
malfunction by which you can be seriously hurt or killed. Always follow the inspection
and maintenance recommendations and schedules in this owner's manual.

11. "HOW TO DO" MAINTENANCE

11.1. ENGINE OIL CHANGE
•
Change engine oil every 100 hours (for new engine, change oil after 20 hours).
•
Drain the oil while the engine is warm to ensure complete and rapid draining.
1. Place the generator on a level surface and warm up the engine for several minutes. Turn the 3
positions switch knob to "OFF" position to stop engine. (FIG. 02)
2. Unscrew and remove the cover. (FIG. 13)
3. Remove the rubber cap from the bottom, located under the drain screw. (a) (FIG. 22)
4. Place an adapted bowl under the engine to recover old oil.
5. Unscrew the drain plug. (c) (FIG. 22)
6. Let the old oil completely drain. (FIG. 14)
7. Rescrew the drain plug firmly in place. (c) (FIG. 22)
8. Place the engine on a flat surface ground and fill the crankcase roll until get the high level with the
recommended motor oil. (FIG. 14)
9. Rescrew the cork of filling (with gauge).. (FIG. 14)

Use fresh and high quality lubricating oil to the specified level. If contaminated or deteriorated oil
issued or the quantity of the engine oil is not sufficient, the engine damage will result and its life will
be greatly shortened.
