Your Concept 300 has our unique Proximity Sensor III, which uses digital signal
processing to detect movement inside the passenger compartment. If a thief were to
break a window and either enter or lean into the passenger compartment, this sensor
would detect this movement and would trigger the alarm.
Be aware that the Proximity Sensor uses radar waves to detect movement in the
passenger compartment. These radar waves pass through nonmetallic materials such as
plastic, carpet, glass and wood. However, metal and metallic-colored paint,
metallic-colored plastic and even some metallic film window tinting materials will
interfere with or completely block the sensor's radar waves. As such, it is not unusual
that the Proximity Sensor zones may need a little readjustment when you first have the
Concept 300 installed. In some instances, your Clifford installer may need to try a
different location for the sensor.
Keep in mind that metal objects above or near the Proximity Sensor location
will have a significant impact on operation, so you should never place coins,
CDs, cassettes (iron oxide tape) or other metallic objects above or near
where the sensor is mounted.
Your Authorised Clifford Dealer can make any sensor adjustments needed.

you must temporarily leave a pet or a passenger in the vehicle. The sensor is

To conserve vehicle battery power (the LED draws more current than the entire control
unit), if your Concept 300 system has remained continuously armed for 48 hours, the
flash rate will automatically slow to half the normal rate. After 96 hours, it slows to
one-quarter.
