Overview Thank you for the purchase of the D-Link DSB-C300. This high performance webcam is imbedded with state of the art video compression technology and transmits through the USB interface. You will never be too late to enjoy the high resolution sensor providing the sharpest image quality allowing a pleasurable experience with the video applications in your PC along with the DSB-C300.
§ Click on “Next>” button to continue. § Select the “Search for the best driver for your device.” § And click on the Next button to search for the best driver. § Select the “Floppy disk driver” and insert the driver diskette that came with the camera into the floppy drive.
To adjust for the best image quality, select Device from the menu bar and choose PC Camera Capture; a prompt screen will be displayed like the one below: This will initiate a video capture. However, before you begin utilizing the DSB-C300, make sure there is enough lighting in the scene and adjust the focus on the DSB-C300 to gain optimal image quality.

Under the PCAM Color tab, make the appropriate adjustments from the menu list to fine tune the image related parameters such as Saturation, Contrast, Sharpness, Gamma or set to Default. Saturation is an expression for the relative bandwidth of the visible output from a light source.
Format Adjustment You can also format the image captured by selecting Options in the menu bar and selecting Video Capture Pin. A prompt screen will be displayed like the one below: In the Frame Rate display you have the options from 5 frames per second (fps) up to 30 fps.
Once again when changes are made, click the Apply button to refresh all the new details you have set and click OK to return to the PC-CAM Capture Screen. Now you are ready to have fun with the new DSB-C300 and with the bundled software you will be able to use the various video editing applications permitting you image manipulation, editing, photo album, video mail, and video conferencing capabilities.
Uninstalling the DSB-C300 To uninstall your DSB-C300 insert the Driver Installation Diskette and activate Drive A: then click on the prompt highlighted - Pcamrm as illustrated below: Click on the icon and a prompt will be displayed like the one below requesting you to unplug the DSB-C300.
