Figure 10 Bed Latch
WARNING
• Keep hands clear of crush area between bed and vehicle body.
NOTE: The Carryall 1 (Figure 11, Page 29) and Carryall 6 (Figure 13, Page 29) are equipped with man-
ual prop rods, unless equipped with an electric bed lift option.
The Carryall 2 is equipped with an automatically engaging prop rod, unless equipped with an elec-
tric bed lift option (Figure 12, Page 29).

PROP ROD

Read DANGER and WARNING on page 9.
The Carryall 2 is equipped with an automatically engaging prop rod and prop rod track on the driver side of the
rear body. The Carryall 1 and Carryall 6 are equipped with manual prop rods.
To Raise the Bed
Carryall 1 Only: When lifting the bed of a Carryall 1 vehicle, remove the prop rod from the clip (1) and insert
into hole (2) in inner body (Figure 11, Page 29). See following DANGER.
Carryall 2 Only: When pulling the bed latch handle and lifting the bed, the prop rod will come to rest in one
of the notches in the prop rod track (Figure 12, Page 29). See following DANGER.
Carryall 6 Only: Remove the two bed hold-down bolts (1) and close the access door. Lift the bed of the vehi-
cle, remove the prop rod (2) from the clip and engage the prop rod as shown (3) (Figure 13, Page 29). See
following DANGER.
DANGER
• Use caution when working under bed. Be sure prop rod is secure. Otherwise the bed will fall,
resulting in severe personal injury or death.
To Lower the Bed
Carryall 1 Only: Secure the prop rod in the prop rod clip and lower the bed gently until the bed latch engages.
DO NOT drop the bed. See following WARNING.
