14.4 Presetting the butterfly valves
1. Move the butterfly disc to the closed position.
2. Determine the L1 and L2 dimensions and use them to cal-
culate the L dimension.
3. The butterfly disc must be turned out of the seal seat in
the closed position. (Anticlockwise)
4. Comply with the L dimension when setting.
5. If readjustment is necessary, open the butterfly disc and
adapt the presetting.
6. Repeat steps 1 to 4 until the L dimension has been
reached.
7. In the open position, the disc must be set to 90°, otherwise
the Kv value will be reduced.
