• Connect the three wires in the power cable to the three screw clamps in the ceiling light (the
terminal block is situated inside a plastic housing that is screwed together).
Please pay attention to the correct order of the cable colours and the cables already located
in the screw terminals, or any lettering next to the screw terminals (brown cable = L, blue cable
= N, green/yellow cable = PE/earth wire, earth symbol).
The earth protection cable must be connected!
When the ceiling lamp is is to replace an existing lamp and no protective earth is
available, do not install the ceiling lamp. First, draw a new mains cable.
Where the protective earth is not connected, a fault with the mains voltage might
result in the metal housing of the ceiling lamp becoming live. There is a risk of a life-
threatening electric shock!
Make sure only the minimum required length of the cable is stripped; otherwise it
could cause a short-circuit.
Also check the other screw connections on the terminal strip (for the light's
connection cables) and tighten them if necessary.
• The power-on time can be selected with the slide switch „TIME", choose between 1 minute
(switch position „1MIN") and 3 minutes (switch position „3MIN").
• The slide switch „LUX" can be used to select when the light's motion detector is to be activated.
= Activation during twilight/night (the motion detector is only active in the dark)
= Activation during day/night (the motion detector is always activated)
The motion detector responds to temperature changes within the detection range, e.g. when
a person enters the detection area.
After switching on the mains voltage, it takes about 30-60 seconds until the motion detector has
adjusted to the background temperature and is able to recognise changes in temperature.
• Insert two bulbs with E27 screw thread into the sockets of the ceiling light (bulb, max. 25W
each resp. energy saving lamp, max. 15W each).
Never touch the inside of the bulb socket, danger to life by electrical shock!
• Following this, the glass cover removed at the beginning has to be attached and fixed again.
To do this, place the plastic thread on the motion detector and then screw the round plastic
ring onto the thread.
• Switch on the mains voltage again and ensure that the ceiling lamp functions.
If none of the bulbs in the ceiling light light up, switch off the mains voltage imme-
diately (take out the fuse or switch off at the circuit breaker).
Then, check the connection at the ceiling light; also check if the bulbs are correctly
inserted.
In case of doubt, contact a professional (e.g. an electrician)!

Replacing the Bulbs

Proceed with caution. Danger of being burnt!
Before replacing a faulty bulb, switch of the mains voltage to the ceiling lamp.
Wait until the faulty bulb and the ceiling light have cooled down sufficiently.
• Remove the glass lampshade To do this, hold the lampshade tightly and remove the plastic
ring (turn counter-clockwise), until the glass lampshade can be removed.
• Replace the faulty bulb with a new bulb.
Never touch the inside of the bulb socket, danger to life by electrical shock!
• Reattach the glass lampshade removed previously to the light, place it on the lamp and screw
the plastic ring removed previously tight.
• Switch on the mains voltage to the ceiling light and check that the bulb is functioning.

Maintenance and Care

• Apart from occasionally cleaning the product and changing a faulty light bulb, the product is
maintenance-free. A qualified electrician should carry out any repair to the ceiling light.
• Switch off the ceiling light and disconnect it from the mains voltage before cleaning. After that,
allow sufficient time for the ceiling light to cool down.
• To clean the ceiling light, all that is required is a wipe with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not use
aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing (dis-
colouring) or impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the housing, as scratches might appear.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
