• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not allowed for
safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children! There is a
risk of a lethal electric shock! Install the light so that it cannot be reached by chil-
dren.
• The product is constructed to protection class I, the earth cable must be
connected.
• The product may only be operated on the mains voltage (see section „Technical
Data").
• Only halogen bulbs with an E27 screw socket, with a max. of 25W each (bulb) or
max. of 15W (energy saving lamp), may be inserted and used in the light. Bulbs
with a higher wattage will lead to overheating of the light, which increases the
danger of fire!
• Disconnect the light from the mains voltage before inserting or replacing a bulb.
• This product is only to be installed and used in dry conditions indoors. The light
must not be exposed to damp or moisture; danger of a fatal electric shock!

Preparations for Installation
• Only install the ceiling light on a stable surface. Use screws and plugs that are suitable for the
surface. Only use the product when it is firmly mounted/steady.
• The ceiling light must be installed and used out of the reach of children.
• The ceiling light must be protected by a 10/16A fuse on the customer's distribution board. An
earth leakage circuit breaker must be installed before this (FI protective switch).
• Only install the ceiling light when it is disconnected from the power supply. It is not sufficient
to just turn off at the light switch!
Turn the power off and ensure that all the poles are not carrying a current by removing the
electric circuit's fuse, or switching off at the circuit breaker. Secure it against an unauthorised
re-start, e.g. with a danger sign. In addition, switch off the associated earth-leakage circuit
breaker.
• Check that the mains cable is free of current e.g. with an appropriate tester.
Installation/Connection
• Open the light.
This can be done by turning the plastic ring by the motion detector clockwise, so that it can be
removed. After this, remove the glass cover.
• Put the connection cable through the opening provided in the bottom part.
• Mark the positions for drilling the holes at the location where you want to install the light, using
the three openings in the bottom part as a template.
Installing the light at a height of
2.5m and an detection angle of
120° results in a diameter of
approx. 8m for the detection area.
The detection range is larger or
smaller depending on the actual
installation height.
• Depending on the subsurface, appropriate screws/dowels must be used when installing the
bottom part.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect
the product immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. Let an expert
check the product.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not work at all or well (flickering light, leaking smoke or a smell
of burning, the light flickers, audible cracking noises, discolouration to the product
or the adjacent surfaces.)
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous
playthings for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the employer's
liability insurance association for electrical systems and operating facilities are to
be observed!
The ceiling light may only be installed by a qualified technician (e. g.
electrician) who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE, German
electrical wiring regulations)!
Improper work, carried out on the mains voltage, endangers not only your own
life but also the life of others!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it
yourself but ask a qualified technician.
Please pay attention to the information in the chapter „Preparation for Installation"!
Caution!
When drilling mounting holes or screwing into place, ensure that no existing
electrical cables, gas or water pipes are damaged.
