1. Connect the RS485 port on the SITRANS RD500 to the MultiRanger RS485 port on TB3 using

wiring and practices in accordance with local electrical codes and requirements.

2. Set up a connection between the PC and SITRANS RD500, referring to the SITRANS RD500

Application instruction manual if necessary. Be sure that you have connected the PC to the

RD500 using the Ethernet crossover cable. (Note: This application guide assumes the

SITRANS RD500 has default network settings.)
