5.9 MAN DOWN ALARM

The Man Down Alarm is a potentially lifesaving safety feature of the NEO. The Man Down Alarm
function assumes that when the instrument is motionless, something could be wrong with its user.
When the instrument is motionless for a pre-set time, the instrument warns the user that Man Down
Alarm is triggered. The user can cancel the alarm. When the user does not cancel the alarm, the Man
Down Alarm is activated after a pre-set period. The Man Down Alarm activates the buzzer and LEDs to
enable rescuers to track the user.
1. If the instrument is connected to a wireless network, a remote alarm is triggered, so help can be
dispatched as quickly as possible. Because instrument readings are sent remotely, rescuers are
aware of the circumstances they will find the victim in, making rescue operations faster and safer.
The Man Down Alarm can be switched on or off.

5.10 WIRELESS

When the instrument is equipped with wireless capability, it is set up through the wireless sub-menu.
