w WARNING
• The Hill-Start Assist system is not
aimed at stopping your vehicle on
a slope. Even when the system
is operating normally, the vehicle
may start moving if you loosen
the brake pedal while stopping on
a slope. Keep the brake pedal fully
depressed while your vehicle is
stopped on a slope.
• Do not place too much confidence
on the Hill-Start Assist system.
Otherwise, the vehicle may start
moving suddenly and an unexpected
accident may result. Always pay
attention to surrounding conditions
and appropriately operating the
shift lever, brake pedal, accelerator
pedal and parking brake.
• Once you release your foot from
the brake pedal, quickly accelerate
your vehicle. It is dangerous if the
vehicle moves backward by the
force of inertia on a slope, etc.
• When the vehicle is loaded with a
heavy luggage, or on a sharp uphill,
the vehicle may move backward
even if the Hill-Start Assist system
is operating. (Start your vehicle
while applying the parking brake.)
NOTE
The following conditions may be caused
by the Hill-Start Assist system operation,
but this does not mean an abnormality.
•
The depressing feeling of the brake
pedal changes.
•
The brake pedal is vibrated.
•
Sound is generated from the brake
